The role
As an Asbestos Surveyor at SGS, you will carry out consultancy and surveying activities across a variety of client sites, ensuring asbestos risks are identified, assessed and managed safely and compliantly.
You’ll operate across a mix of environments — from industrial locations, commercial premises and domestic properties — delivering high-quality surveys and reports that clients rely on to stay compliant and safe
What you’ll be doing
12. Conduct asbestos surveys and safely sample suspect materials in line with industry standards
13. Accurately record findings and produce clear, compliant reports
14. Assess asbestos risks and provide practical advice on management or removal
15. Build strong working relationships with clients and internal teams
16. Support quality assurance activities, audits and continuous improvement
Qualifications
17. BOHS P402 (or equivalent)
18. Proven experience as an Asbestos Surveyor
19. Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation, regulations and best practice
20. Excellent attention to detail and reporting skills
21. Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
22. Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
23. Full driving licence to use in the UK and willingness to travel
