About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive school in Nuneaton. You'll be working closely with students who require additional support to access learning, develop coping strategies, and build positive relationships. Every day is different - and every day you'll be making an impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom
Deliver tailored interventions and behaviour support plans
Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals
Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and positive behaviour
Foster a safe, supportive and inclusive environment
About You:
Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (school-based or similar settings)
Calm, compassionate, and adaptable
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and behaviour management
Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Team Teach, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, or equivalent) desirable but not essential
