The Role
The PMO Lead will oversee, govern, and manage multiple projects within the transformation portfolio, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy and objectives. Collaborating closely with the Senior Enterprise PMO Lead and Project Managers, they will support projects proactively and challenge effectively to ensure delivery within budgets and expected benefits.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and excellent relationship-building skills. They should have a strong internal customer focus, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to understand both the big picture and detailed elements.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Enhancing project delivery practices and influencing mindsets and behaviors.
* Connecting projects with the Enterprise portfolio via the EPMO, ensuring effective information flow and collaboration.
* Developing and implementing a fit-for-purpose Change Framework, leading its effective adoption.
* Understanding project interdependencies and their impacts on the program.
* Ensuring best practices aligned with the Enterprise PMO Centre of Excellence, including regular reviews and audits.
* Liaising with project workstreams for planning, data analysis, problem solving, and coordination.
* Scheduling and leading governance meetings, maintaining documentation and notes.
* Managing project files and permissions, supporting project business case inputs.
* Leading Gateway meetings, involving relevant stakeholders for go/no-go decisions.
* Monitoring RAID logs, risks, issues, and lessons learned.
* Promoting continuous improvement and sharing lessons learned across projects.
What We’re Looking for in You
* Ability to build relationships with senior business leaders and challenge respectfully.
* Experience managing a portfolio of projects across a business function.
* Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies and project governance.
* Skill in identifying and mitigating portfolio risks, issues, and dependencies.
* Experience in project planning, scheduling, and assessing feasibility considering change volume and resource demand.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
