The Opportunity:
Capital Dynamics is seeking students with excellent quantitative, qualitative, and interpersonal skills to join our Summer program in our London office. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work for one of the following teams: Clean Energy, Private Equity - Co-Investment, and Private Equity - Secondaries.
Private Equity:
The Capital Dynamics summer program offers intellectually curious students a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience working across the private equity/asset industry.
The Private Equity Analysts will gain exposure to a wide array of industries and capital structures and become familiar with various private equity funds and investment strategies.
You will work in a team environment to target and perform due diligence, including financial modelling and preparation of investment memoranda, on opportunities across the Private Equity team’s co-investment and secondaries transactions.
Clean Energy:
The Clean Energy team makes direct equity investments in renewable energy projects from late-stage development to commercial operations. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to understand the sector broadly while supporting live transactions.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Gain understanding of the private equity or clean energy sector and key value drivers.
* Support live transactions by working with the deal team.
* Assist in preparing financial models, including in-depth financial analysis to calculate project returns.
* Contribute to the financial analysis sections of investment papers for the investment committee.
* Support due diligence during acquisitions.
* Conduct market research and analysis to support investment decisions.
* Perform valuation analysis using comparable companies and precedent transactions.
Education and Qualifications:
* Undergraduate (2nd to 4th year) students or recent MBA graduates.
* Strong interest in asset management or private equity.
* Proven analytical skills, including financial modelling.
* Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
* Excellent organizational and project management skills.
* Attention to detail and proofreading skills.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines.
Language Skills:
* Fluent in English with excellent writing skills.
* Proficiency in additional languages such as German, Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese, or Korean is advantageous but not essential.
