Commercial Property Paralegal / Conveyancing Assistant Salary: Negotiable (DOE) Location: Leeds, LS1 Hours: 37.5 hours per week Full-time, permanent position An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Leeds City Centre office for a Commercial Property Paralegal or Conveyancing Assistant. This role offers the chance to support solicitors and fee earners across a wide range of commercial property matters, from file opening to completion. It's ideal for someone with at least 6 months' experience in either commercial or residential property, looking to build their legal career in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities of the Paralegal / Assistant: * Assist with matters at all stages, from initial client instruction to archiving, under supervision. * Liaise with clients and third parties on behalf of fee earners. * Provide administrative support to solicitors, fee earners, and partners. * Obtain and prepare file documentation. * Bill files and manage payments due from clients and other parties. * Liaise with the Accounts department to produce cheques and pay disbursements. * Perform general administrative duties including filing, photocopying, and document collation. * Maintain legal knowledge and contribute to improving office procedures. * Support a safe and healthy working environment. * Carry out any other duties as required by the firm. Key Requirements of the Paralegal / Assistant: * Minimum 6 months' experience in commercial or residential property (commercial preferred). * Excellent client care and communication skills. * Ability to organise and prioritise work under supervision. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * IT proficient and confident using legal systems. * Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team. * Satisfactory absence record or valid justification for previous absenteeism.
