Workshop and Field Technician - Thame

As our company grows, we are expanding our teams. We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Workshop and Field Technician to join our Environment and Safety Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for a motivated, dependable, and committed Workshop and Field Technician. As part of the Water Consultancy and Equipment team, you should be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
You will assist the stores and workshop teams with booking deliveries, picking parts, manufacturing water treatment products, and supporting field-based tasks such as equipment repairs and servicing.
The tasks you will undertake include:
* Book in deliveries against purchase orders, check for damage or shortages, and liaise with suppliers on delivery issues.
* Raise pick lists against sales orders and pick items.
* Raise purchase orders for items short on pick lists or sales orders.
* Progress outstanding purchase orders.
* Support the workshop team in manufacturing water treatment products.
* Carry out repairs and service the service exchange equipment.
* Support the site-based Service Team by attending site visits and completing servicing and remedial works on our equipment.
To be successful, you should demonstrate:
* Experience in stores and manufacturing is desirable.
* UK driving license.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
About Water Consultancy and Equipment
Our Water Consultancy team provides services such as statutory water hygiene tasks, chemical and microbiological analysis of systems like cooling towers, domestic water systems, and closed circuits. Our Water Equipment Engineers manufacture equipment in-house supported by CAD schematics and Revit files. We supply products like reverse osmosis units, water softeners, and filtration services. SOCOTEC UK is BIM level 2 compliant in this area.
