Overview
The Logistics Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the NHS Resilience Emergency Capabilities Unit by maintaining a national fleet of vehicles and highly specialist equipment essential for emergency response. This position is responsible for coordinating the national rollout, stock levels, and maintenance of critical assets such as Powered Respirator Protection Suits (PRPS), Next Generation Personal Protective Equipment (NxGen), and other specialist equipment. The role involves close liaison with NHS stakeholders, including NHS England, to ensure the availability and readiness of safety-critical resources. The Logistics Coordinator manages asset registers, monitors inspection and maintenance schedules, and produces reports for senior managers. The post holder must demonstrate strong organisational skills, flexibility, and the ability to work collaboratively across a wide range of internal and external partners, all while upholding the values of caring, respect, and teamwork that underpin the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
Responsibilities
* Coordinating the national roll out, stock levels and maintenance of PRPS suits (for both the Ambulance Service and Acute Trusts).
* Coordinating the national roll out, stock levels and maintenance of NxGen suits.
* Coordinating the national provision of EDBA and other specialist equipment.
* Monitoring the national availability of safety critical equipment associated with the interoperable capabilities.
* Liaising with a wide range of NHS stakeholders, including NHS England.
* Maintaining the internal asset register for the NHSR ECU.
* Monitoring and maintaining schedules of inspection and maintenance for assets within the NHSR ECU.
* Producing reports and analysis on the state of readiness of key national assets for the Capabilities Manager and other key stakeholders.

The principal aim of the NHS Resilience Emergency Capabilities Unit (ECU) is to support the delivery of patient care and improved clinical outcomes in a range of challenging environments across England. The unit supports NHS Trusts and partner agencies to provide an effective response to the major and complex incidents defined within the UK's National Risk Register.
