We opened the first 5* Hotel in Liverpool; The Municipal
Hotel & Spa MGallery in May 2023 and have reset the clock within this
historic building, bringing it back to life. Our Heartists® aspire to

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PALM COURT MANAGER AT THE
MUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY
What you'll be doing...
As a Palm
Court Manager, you will be reporting directly to the Food and Beverage
Operations Manager. You’ll take full ownership of the Palm Court operation,
inclusive of the Bar; ensuring consistency, excellence, and success in every
detail, from the theatre of the bar to the delivery of all food items.
· You will conduct the
whole Palm Court operation, and you will proactively know how to pre-empt the
needs of our guests.
· You will play an
important role within the division team as the face of Food and Beverage for
our Palm Court and Bar, nurturing strong relationships is crucial to the
successful management of the Palm Court.
· Responsible for all
areas of service and preparation, ensuring all opening, closing checklists are
completed daily.
· You will drive a culture
of continuous improvement – setting ambitious, clear objectives focused on
elevating our service, product consistency, and overall team performance.
· A sharp focus on cost
control and operational efficiency.
· Alongside the Bar
Manager you will take full ownership of stock control, back-office systems such
as symphony, MICRO’s, with full responsibility for accurate weekly reporting of
stock take results and proactive management of variances.
· Responsible for ensuring
all allergen information is continually kept up to date.
· Ensuring that the specs
are accurate, and weekly spec tests are carried out.
· You will support the Bar
Manager in creating magic, and theatre through the deliverance of beverages,
and presentation.
· You will ensure the
department is equipped for service via cost controls, stock monitoring and good
rota management.
· You will actively follow
AA and LQA Standards at every interaction with our guests both in person and by
phone.
· Accountable for the
recruitment and retention of the Palm Court Floor, ensuring we are identifying
future talent and continuously developing our people for the future.
· You will ensure there
are always an effective and efficient handover to the Food and Beverage team of
the days events.
· You will be consistently
ensuring your team are maximising revenue by upselling all aspects of Food and
Beverage.
· Managing Res-Diary
efficiently ensuring that all covers are accurately logged, and No-Shows
charged accordingly.
· You will carry out
pre-arrival calls to large parties and proactively resolve any complaints.
· Naturally you will be the front and centre of
every event within the Palm Court, commanding the room.
