Programme Delivery Lead (Contract – 6 months)
Swift Strategies | Remote (UK) with occasional London travel
Swift Strategies is supporting a major education organisation and exam board on a critical programme to modernise and strengthen its regulatory capabilities.
We are looking for a Programme Delivery Lead to take ownership of a high-profile regulatory improvement programme.
The Role
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role where you will act as the PMO and programme lead, overseeing 5 key workstreams (out of 9) within a wider transformation programme.
You will:
* Lead the delivery of a regulatory improvement action plan
* Review existing milestones and build a clear, executable delivery plan for 2026
* Define and implement OKRs across the programme
* Work closely with delivery teams to ensure actions are completed on time
* Provide clear reporting through governance forums and stakeholder updates
* Own RAID management, progress tracking and delivery accountability
* Act as the central point of coordination across multiple workstreams
This is about creating structure, driving momentum and ensuring delivery actually happens.
What We’re Looking For
You will likely have:
* Strong experience leading complex programmes in regulated environments
* A background in PMO, programme delivery or transformation leadership
* Experience working with governance, standards and regulatory frameworks
* The ability to bring clarity to complex, fast-moving environments
* Confidence working with senior stakeholders and delivery teams
* Candidates must have experience working in highly regulated or governed environments, with a strong understanding of compliance, standards and governance frameworks.
Experience within education, exam boards, public sector or similar regulated industries is highly desirable.
Culture Fit (Swift Matters Here)
Swift is a people-first consultancy — and we look for the same in our associates.
You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
* Down to earth, personable and easy to work with
* Reliable and organised — you do what you say you will
* Comfortable working in ambiguity and taking ownership
* Collaborative, proactive and solutions-focused
* Someone who builds trust quickly and works well with teams
This is not a “sit back and report” role — you’ll be expected to get stuck in and make things happen.
