The Springfield Group are recruiting for an IT Support Technician to join our team based in Elgin. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in supporting the group across multiple office and site locations. Key Responsibilities As a member of our Group IT team, you will: o Provide first-line support for IT issues via ticketing system, phone, email, and in person. o Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network problems. o Set up and maintain user accounts, passwords, and access permissions. o Support Windows desktops, laptops, and Office 365 applications. o Log and track support requests using our helpdesk system. o Escalate complex issues when necessary. o Assist with routine system checks and updates. Skills & Experience o Basic experience in IT (e.g. troubleshooting PCs, printers, software). o Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365. o Understanding of user account management and basic networking. o Good communication and customer service skills. o Ability to follow procedures and document work clearly. Desirable (but not essential) o Experience with Active Directory or Group Policy. o Exposure to Office 365 admin tools. o Microsoft certifications. o Interest in progressing to 2nd line support.
