The GP Assistant will work alongside the Primary Care Network (PCN) and Practice teams to support the smooth running of clinics by performing routine administration and clinical tasks, providing efficient administrative support, and assisting in the processing of patient data. The role aims to help reduce administrative workload pressures on the wider clinical team so GPs can focus their time on clinical patient care.

* GCSE grade C or above (grade 4 or above) in English and Maths
* Willingness to undertake training and continued professional development

* GP Assistant Certificate qualification
* Knowledge of medical terminology
Experience

* Experience of working under own direction
* Experience in a patient focused environment
* Experience of working in a clinical role within a health care setting e.g., as a Healthcare Assistant or Healthcare Support Worker
* Evidence of experience in a wide range of administrative systems and software programmes
