Pelta Medical Papers Limited is a respected UK manufacturer operating within a highly regulated, quality-driven environment. With a strong focus on safety, compliance and operational excellence, we rely on robust engineering support and well-managed processes to keep production running efficiently.
The Role
This is a key role supporting the Maintenance team by managing critical spares, specialised components and high volumes of small parts essential to production continuity. You’ll bring a “librarian’s mindset” to the stores environment - ensuring every item is labelled, tracked and stored correctly, with accurate stock control to prevent downtime.
* Technical Inventory Management: Organising and labelling thousands of unique SKUs, from micro-fuses and PLC components to heavy-duty bearings and motors
* Critical Spares Auditing: Maintaining "Min/Max" stock levels for essential parts to prevent production downtime
* Goods Inward & Inspection: Receiving technical deliveries, verifying part numbers against technical drawings or purchase orders, and checking for transit damage
* Kitting for Maintenance: Pre-preparing "parts kits" for planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules so engineers have everything they need before they start a job
* Supplier Liaison: Working with Finance to reorder technical stock and chasing suppliers for lead times on specialised components
The Ideal Candidate
This role is ideal for someone meticulous, process-driven and comfortable working with technical inventory. About you:
* Naturally organised with exceptional attention to detail
* Comfortable handling technical stock such as fuses, PLC parts, bearings, motors and mechanical spares
* Strong Microsoft Excel skills for stock tracking, reporting and inventory accuracy
* Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial stores environment preferred
* Confident enforcing processes and preventing “grab and go” stock loss
* Reliable, structured and committed to maintaining high operational standards
Candidates will be required to complete a Thomas International behavioural assessment as part of the recruitment process.
