* Office based with local travel between sites as required

Role & Responsibilities:
We are seeking to recruit a Group Materials and Planning Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for the full end-to-end operational planning, inventory and warehouse management, including the flow of materials across multiple manufacturing sites in North Wales.
The successful candidate will assume responsibility to create and implement supply chain and material control strategies to build a professional and effective OTIF cost focused team.
They will have the ability to develop and implement strategies related to warehouse and stock management, while effectively managing location based teams across all sites. The role requires in depth knowledge of material supply principles, procedures and practises, ideally in a fast paced multi-site manufacturing environment.
We are looking for a motivated manager who is proactive and will take the initiative to drive transformational improvements throughout the Materials and planning function, requiring a hand on approach and being fully involved in the day to day detail as well as setting the overall strategy for the teams.
A key part of the role is maintaining robust systems and procedures that support operational performance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide leadership to a team of operational production and material planners and material leads. Manage, coach and develop high performing teams that deliver continuous improvement and added value.
* Responsible for leading warehouse management to ensure efficient management and control.
* Ensure IT systems, including MRP and data capture reports in place are effective, accurate and maintained. Review opportunities to standardise and streamline current or new systems.
* Manage the teams to ensure a timely purchase of all material requirements in line with production plans, ensuring a rolling forecast of material requirements is maintained. Review inventory levels versus consumption, adjusting re-order points to prevent shortages.
* Oversee the delivery of materials for all sites, acting as a point of escalation regarding supply chain issues, ensuring to maintain accuracy and minimise potential disruption.
* Ensure the quality of purchased materials is maintained through effective stock and warehouse management.
* Oversee and manage inventory integrity ensuring robust stock taking strategies are implemented and maintained through best practise warehouse management.
* Optimise stock holding and turnover ratios.
* Collaborate to develop, maintain and implement best practice systems, processes and procedures across all sites.
* Ensure all activities adhere to safety standards and performance targets, maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Skills Required:
* Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive change whilst developing and motivating staff to achieve objectives.
* Experience in inventory management, stock control, and supplier relations, ideally within a multi-site manufacturing environment.
* Strong strategic mindset, capable of transforming and optimising supply chain and warehouse operations to deliver operational excellence.
* Proficient in the use of MRP systems.
* Ability to analyse data and implement continuous improvement initiatives
* Excellent organisational and planning skills to oversee multiple sites effectively
* Ability to ensure high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
* Effective communicator with the ability to lead, and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
