## Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role**Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | about the role** We are looking for a Regional Training Manager (RTM) for each of our five regions. The five regions are Auckland North, Auckland South, Central North Island, Lower North & Upper South and the Southern region.This is a key role in ensuring the Electoral Commission meets its quality assurance goals.You will support the Regional Manager and Regional Advisors by providing oversight of all training activity across the region and assisting with the delivery of that training to Electorate Managers, Recruitment & Rostering Managers and/ or Logistic and Supplies Managers as well as delivering the training component at regional meetings.You will assist with the selection of Area and Electorate Trainers. You will train Area Trainers and assist with the development of their training schedules. You will also assess them while they conduct their training sessions to ensure training standards are met, as well as assess that Electorate Trainers understand the training they receive. You will also assist the Regional Advisor in preparing the post-election training schedule and delivering the Post Election training where appropriate.Some travel around the Region and to the National Office in Wellington will be required.The pay rate for this role is: $41.66 plus 8% holiday pay. This is a 20 hour a week casual role.**Mōhou ake | About you**You are a people-focused leader with proven experience in training and delivery, capable of delivering exceptional results. You possess strong planning and organisational skills, and you thrive on learning quickly in dynamic environments.You will have previous elections and training delivery experience, and you will be able to demonstrate previous experience:* in the preparation and delivery of training, and application of nationally prescribed training strategies and material* delivering training to a broad audience* delivering training with a disciplined and systematic approach within a specified timeframe* with training delivery technology e.g. audio-visual equipment, mobile phones**He aha tāu e mahi ana | What you'll be doing*** working independently as well as part of a team* demonstrate your excellent communication skills as well as your ability to build and maintain effective working relationships* demonstrate initiative combined with sound judgement as well as an awareness and sensitivity to different cultural needs* demonstrate knowledge/awareness of te reo, in particular proper pronunciation and tikanga* previous election experience is essential, and your own transport and a full clean driver's licence is a must.**Mo te Kaitiaki Take Kōwhiri | About the Electoral Commission**The Electoral Commission wants every New Zealander to trust, value and take part in parliamentary elections.Here's your chance to contribute to New Zealand's democracy as part of a small team of electoral experts who design, build and implement processes and systems for Parliamentary elections and referenda.
