Group Management Accountant (Fixed-Term Maternity Cover, up to 15 months) - Surrey (Hybrid working) | £50,000-£60,000Are you a hands-on, adaptable Accountant looking for your next opportunity in a fast-paced franchise industry environment? We're hiring on behalf of a dynamic business based in Surrey for a reliable and detail-driven Accountant to join their finance team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract (up to 15 months). This is a fantastic opportunity to gain wide exposure across a growing group and contribute meaningfully from day one.In this varied role, you'll play a crucial part in both core finance operations and broader team support, from daily cashflow updates to management accounts and audit preparation. You'll need to be comfortable shifting between senior and junior tasks-and thrive on keeping everything running smoothly.Key Responsibilities:Daily sales reporting and cashflow forecastingSupporting Accounts Assistants and reviewing supplier invoicesMonth-end duties including accruals, prepayments, and management accountsReconciliation of ledgers and balance sheet accountsQuarterly VAT returns and forecasting assistanceYear-end audit prep and contributing to financial projectsCross-functional support and resolving finance-related queriesEssential Skills & Experience:Part-qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE)Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIF, INDEX/MATCH)High attention to detail and accuracyStrong interpersonal and communication skillsComfortable working to tight deadlines and juggling prioritiesDesired Skills:Experience in the Engineering or franchise industryExposure to multi-entity or group-level reportingConfident working with operational teams across departmentsThis is an excellent contract opportunity for someone who's proactive, dependable, and ready to make a real impact in a busy finance team.Apply now to take the next step in your accounting career.
