GSL Education are currently seeking a Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming school in Hull. This is an exciting opportunity for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or experienced support staff to play a key role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment in the absence of the class teacher. As a Cover Supervisor, you will: Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged. Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Support students in their learning, offering help and guidance where needed. Foster a respectful, calm, and inclusive classroom environment. Report on pupil progress and behaviour to teaching staff. Assist with administrative tasks and other school duties as required. Requirements for Cover Supervisor: A minimum of 6 months’ experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Confidence in delivering set lessons and managing a variety of classroom situations. A genuine interest in education and supporting young people. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
