Pay, benefits and more:
You’ll be paid a salary of up to £60,000 per annum, depending upon experience. You’ll also receive 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Be responsible for the overall operational and financial performance of the operation, leading from the front and getting under the skin of what keeps the site moving on a day-to-day basis
* Support the development of the growth strategy and evolution of the site, through ongoing continuous improvement and other strategic projects
* Play a key part in driving communication and engagement with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels, both onsite and throughout the wider GXO network, developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, ensuring the long-term success of the contract
* Develop your direct reports through leadership, objective setting, regular reviews and up-to-date PDRs to facilitate succession planning
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* A proven track record effectively leading a large (250+ colleagues) fast-moving logistics operation, working with a high profile customer
* Strong experience of continuous improvement – you’ll be the type that never wants to stand still and aims for excellence
* Fantastic leadership skills with a real focus on developing and engaging your people and driving succession from the bottom up
* Experience of building strong working relationships with both internal and external customers and colleagues, you’ll be an effective influencer and communicator
