What you will do:
* Lead and manage a team of community podiatry staff, ensuring an outstanding level of podiatry service.
* Provide specialist podiatry treatment to clients in Greenwich, including non-complex nail surgery and wound care in a community setting.
* Assess the suitability of patients for surgical intervention with pre-surgical assessments.
* Utilise local anaesthetic injection therapy and provide post-operative wound care, dressings, and care planning.
* Keep abreast of developments in rheumatology, diabetes, vascular pathology, neurological and post-surgical wounds.
* Collaborate with primary, secondary, and community care teams to deliver a multidisciplinary approach to improving foot health.
* Engage in regular training and competency assessments for junior staff and peers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
Requirements of the Podiatrist:
* Qualified podiatrist with a degree or equivalent in Podiatry.
* Recent experience in podiatry is essential.
* Registration with the HCPC as a podiatrist to work in the UK is required.
* NHS experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
