An excellent opportunity has arisen for a nurse to join our team providing ongoing assessment and treatment for people with Learning Disabilities.
We are looking for a dynamic, forward-thinking, and imaginative qualified nurse to become an integral part of our multidisciplinary team. You should have an interest in working with people with a learning disability, including those who may exhibit challenging behaviors, are autistic, or have existing mental health issues. Experience working in an inpatient environment and managing challenging situations is desirable.
Main duties of the job
1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care needs of a specific group of service users.
2. Supervise, mentor, and teach qualified and unqualified staff, including students.
3. Coordinate care for a specified group of service users.
4. Take a proactive role in risk management, including risk assessments, incident reporting, and near-miss reporting.
5. Act as a supervisor, mentor, or assessor for students or Healthcare Support Workers, where relevant experience allows.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; applications from English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome.
