Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Senior Care Assistant for night or days to join our team at a care home in providing exceptional care and support to elderly residents. The ideal candidate will have a passion for senior care and possess strong leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Providing high-quality care to residents in line with individual care plans
- Supervising and supporting care staff in daily tasks
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Overseeing the implementation of care plans and ensuring they are followed accurately
- Utilising IT systems for record-keeping and reporting
- Driving continuous improvement in care standards within the care home
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is essential with NVQ level 3
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents and colleagues
- Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
