Job Overview
Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Bournemouth for a temporary Finance Officer to join their team. The main responsibility is to coordinate regular payments to external providers within the Children's Commissioning team.
Main Responsibilities
1. Support the administration of regular and ad hoc payments through bespoke finance systems for services arranged by the Brokerage Team.
2. Ensure all invoices are for expected and approved charges for the services commissioned.
3. Investigate finance queries from internal colleagues and external suppliers professionally and promptly.
4. Provide administrative support to Senior Finance Officers and the Direct Payments Support Officer, including maintaining databases and spreadsheets.
Candidate Criteria
* A-level qualifications or equivalent; AAT qualification desirable.
* Experience explaining contractual and financial requirements clearly to the public.
* Knowledge of financial regulations and payment terms.
* Ability to raise queries and follow through to resolution.
* Experience with cash handling.
