About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer who will design and deliver modern solutions for a diverse portfolio of clients. Working within cross-functional teams, you’ll be involved in the full software development lifecycle - from concept through to deployment and maintenance.

Key responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain Java applications
* Participate in the full SDLC (design, development, deployment, maintenance)
* Contribute to system architecture and solution design
* Build and secure RESTful APIs
* Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders
* Troubleshoot production issues and optimise performance
* Create and maintain technical documentation
* Share knowledge and mentor junior developers
* Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend improvements
For the Lead Consultants: additional duties: juniors mentoring, driving digital transformation and building trusted relationships with the clients.
Requirements
* At least 5+ years of experience with Java (Kotlin/Scala is a plus)
* Strong knowledge of Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC)
* Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
* Solid understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns
* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
* Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
* Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines)
* Knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
* Ability to diagnose and resolve performance issues
* Strong communication skills

Salary:
Depending on your experience and performance during the interview process:
Belfast: £40,000-£45,000 + £600 in cash benefits
Manchester/Newcastle: £45,000-£50,000 + £600 in cash benefits
