So if you're passionate about motorcycles and looking to join a team that's shaping the future of this legendary brand, we'd love to hear from you The role The Norton Engineering team is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized individual to build our capability in virtual simulation for the vehicle assembly and dis-assembly process. You will be responsible for developing the 3D virtual builds and reviewing the assembly and dis-assembly process with engineering and manufacturing to ensure any design, manufacturing and serviceability issues are identified and resolved. You will be working closely with manufacturing, engineering and several external suppliers to ensure manufacturing readiness as part of the Norton new product development process. Duties/Responsibilities Build the virtual assembly using Dassault Delmia software. Work along with the wider engineering team to validate if the proposed bike CAD design concept is manufacturable to the proposed assembly sequence, identifying potential issues and proposing solutions. Perform analysis of critical tooling, fixtures and assembly aids to ensure sufficient clearance through proposed flight path and range of motion. Work with Concept engineers to develop future bike designs with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) focus. Use a problem resolution process to track and resolve issues identified in the virtual build process. Work with manufacturing engineering to ensure that assembly and manufacturing processes are optimised for efficiency, quality and developed based on supporting data. Work with key tooling and equipment engineers to ensure all designs have proper analysis prior to procurement and release. Work with manufacturing engineering to help develop lean systems and methods for manufacturing, identify common manufacturing requirements documents and help create standard tool libraries. Ensure timely and efficient communication of issues to all internal stakeholders. Effectively collaborate with other engineering groups, suppliers, and leadership team to meet manufacturing deliverables within tight time constraints. Personal Specification Degree or Master's degree in Engineering preferable Previous manufacturing engineering experience ideally automotive manufacturing processes and best practices. Experience of using Virtual build software for design and manufacturability analysis. Experience user of CAD software (Creo preferable) Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience working with cross functional teams.
