What do you need to succeed?
Assist our care teams by providing hair and beauty services, supporting the Reception and Lifestyles Teams. This position is central to the lives of the people we support, so good people skills are essential, along with strong organisational skills. If you have previous experience in the hair and beauty sector and an affinity for care, this is the role for you.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting residents with hair and beauty within the home.
* Supporting the Hospitality Manager with lifestyle activities.
* Undertaking tasks professionally, reflecting Oakland Care Group's values in a person-centred way.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
Essential
* Qualification in hairdressing and beauty.
* Hair and beauty certificate.
* Minimum one year of hair and beauty service experience preferred.
* Good knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
* Previous experience in a customer service environment.
* Knowledge of challenging behaviour/dementia awareness.
Skills and Competencies:
Essential
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to read and follow work schedules.
