Ambitek are looking for a highly motivated Workshop & Site Foreman to join our client in Knowsley. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong background in steel fabrication and workshop operations. About the Role: As Workshop & Site Foreman, you will be responsible for supervising fabrication activities in the workshop as well as coordinating and supporting site installations. You will lead a team of fabricators and site operatives, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification—whether on the shop floor or out in the field. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise and coordinate daily operations in both the workshop and on-site environments. * Allocate work to fabrication and site teams, ensuring deadlines and project milestones are met. * Oversee quality control to ensure all work aligns with engineering drawings and specifications. * Conduct toolbox talks, enforce health & safety standards, and promote safe working practices. * Liaise with Project Managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth execution across all phases. * Lead by example—supporting, mentoring, and developing team members on and off-site. * Manage equipment, tools, and materials to maintain operational readiness and efficiency. * Assist in site preparation, risk assessments, and work permits as required. Requirements: * Proven experience in a supervisory role within the heavy steel fabrication and installation sector. * Strong technical knowledge of welding, fabrication, and steel erection practices. * Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications. * Demonstrated experience managing teams in both workshop and site settings. * Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills. * Strong understanding of health & safety regulations across workshop and construction site environments. * Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ/City & Guilds in Fabrication/Welding); CSCS, SSSTS, or similar site safety certifications are highly desirable. * Full UK driving licence
