An innovative and exciting opportunity has arisen in our Kent andSussex Community based Dermatology Service.We are looking for an experienced Independent Nurse Prescribers to joinour Nurse led remote prescribing service. Currently the team comprises of 9Nurse Prescribers and 4 coordinators .
The successful candidates will be registered INP who are currentlypracticing and holding clinics independently. Dermatology experience essential.Clinics to be undertaken will be, Isotretinoin monitoring, Systemic andBiologic medication reviews.
The post holders will be an experienced clinical nurses andregistered Independent Nurse Prescribers. They will demonstrate safe clinicaldecision making and expert care. As an INP they will work closely with theremote clinic and medical team to meet the needs of the service users, ensuringthere is a focus on reflection, best practice, nursing competencies andprofessional development in line with the nursing strategy and always adheringto the 4 pillars of Nursing Practice, Education, Leadership, research andclinical practice.
Main duties of the job
To providehigh quality nursing care as directed by the lead nurse, consultants anddoctors
Effectivecommunication skills with patients, colleagues, managers.
Haveappropriate clinical and professional insight to acknowledge own clinicalboundaries and limitations.
To work withinthe NMC code of practice
Ensure updatedknowledge and Continued Professional development is maintained
Good knowledge of physical and psychologicalneeds of patients. Good knowledge of skin A&P, the disease area,knowledge of topical and systemic side effects, knowledge of psychologicaleffects.
Record keepingas directed by Organisation and NMC directive.
To maintainmembership of the BDNG
Maintain aprofessional portfolio and reflective practice participating in life- longlearning for self and others.
Assist with clinically approved research,teaching and clinical courses. Use a variety of learning materials from a widerange of sources
Obtain patientfeedback and action plan to improve the service
Workautonomously and responsibly for the safe and appropriate use of clinicequipment and resources
To provideadequate information/health promotion to enable patients to make informeddecision about their condition, treatment and self- management.
Ensure confidentiality and adherence to Data Protection is maintained
To attendstaff meetings face to face minimum of twice yearly and post graduate meetings remotely

Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with current NMC registration
* Qualified Prescriber - with experience of using prescribing qualification
Experience
* Experience working at Band 6 or above
* Independent clinic experience
* Experience using SystmOne
