Social Worker – Through Care Service
Full Time, Permanent. An exciting opportunity for a qualified social worker to join the Through Care Service, which supports children and young people aged 0‑25 and their families throughout their journey in care and as care leavers.
Responsibilities
* Work with approximately 18 children in a co‑productive approach with children, professionals, families and carers to support them to have the best opportunities.
* Keep up‑to‑date records to help children understand their journey into and through care.
* Ensure children have networks to support them during childhood and into adulthood; write care and pathway plans that are aspirational and meet need in a timely way.
* Support children in foster homes (including kinship), children’s homes and semi‑independent accommodation; often located throughout Bristol and surrounding areas.
* Work reactively and fast‑paced, being trauma‑informed and creative in response.
* Work independently, support the multi‑agency network to hold risk, chair meetings relating to your children and challenge constructively where appropriate.
* Participate in career progression, projects and areas of interest to support your development.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Qualified social worker (UK social work qualification).
* Enhanced DBS check required.
