Robert Half are working with an exciting business in the housing sector, based in Glasgow, to recruit a Finance Assistant on a temporary basis (C.3 months). Our client is looking for an all-rounded Accounts Assistant who can roll their sleeves up and hit the ground running. Hybrid working, ideally in the office 4 days per week.
Key responsibilities:
1. Banking and posting payments to owners account
2. Updating cashbook
3. Completing bank reconciliation
4. Process telephone payments
5. Posting and updating of records of deposits received, deposits refunded and common charges refunded
6. Reconciliation of customers' accounts once they move out
7. Refunding deposits and common charges for customers who move out
8. Chasing up standing order, float and contact details
9. Ensure timely issuing of quarterly invoices to factored owners and monthly to commercial tenants and mid-market rent tenants
10. Ensure all debt actions raised are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements, policies and procedures and best practise
11. Making arrears phone calls
12. Sales of properties and change of ownership and cease to factors
13. Liaising with solicitors and relevant departments
14. Dealing with customers' enquiries
Must have:
