Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Grade A Solicitor to join our Serious Injuries Team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing complex multi-track claims, specialising in catastrophic injuries and child brain injury cases.
Key Responsibilities
1. Independently handle a caseload of serious injury claims, with estimated values over £,, from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.
2. Demonstrate specialist expertise in catastrophic injury claims, with a particular focus on child brain injury cases.
3. Provide guidance and support to Grade C and D solicitors, ensuring high standards of case management and professional development within the team.
4. Maintain excellent client care, delivering sensitive and empathetic support to clients and their families during challenging times.
5. Collaborate with medical experts, counsel, and external professionals to progress cases effectively.
6. Ensure all claims are managed in accordance with regulatory requirements, firm policies, and best practice standards.
7. Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and training sessions, contributing to the continuous improvement of the Serious Injuries Team.
Essential Criteria
8. Qualified as a Solicitor (or Chartered Legal Executive), with a minimum of years’ post-qualification experience in multi-track claims handling.
9. Exposure to catastrophic injury claims and a specialism in child brain injury litigation.
10. Proven ability to manage high-value cases exceeding £, independently.
11. Demonstrable experience in mentoring junior solicitors (Grade C & D).
12. Outstanding communication, organisational, and negotiation skills.
13. Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of client care and professional integrity.
