Work You’ll Do
Join us as a Security Data Analyst responsible for designing and developing a platform to analyze large datasets for security and compliance. Your cybersecurity expertise will help identify emerging threats and integrate secure coding practices across development stages.
What You’ll Bring
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Over 5 years of experience in software development, engineering, or data flows in web, mobile, or analytics domains.
* Proven experience in building scalable, automated data platforms handling large datasets.
* Skills in API development and architectural patterns like REST or gRPC.
* Programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or similar.
* Knowledge of data science processes, including data preparation, exploration, and modeling.
* Experience with tools like Jupyter, pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, numpy.
* Familiarity with API testing and security tools such as Postman, Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP.
* Strong understanding of database systems like MySQL.
* Hands-on experience with security and compliance frameworks.
* Knowledge of performance optimization for mobile applications.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
* Experience with OCI cloud services.
* Knowledge of machine learning or AI in security.
* Experience with Agile, JIRA, Confluence.
* Understanding of Software Assurance programs.
Responsibilities
* Design and develop a secure platform for API data analysis in MySQL.
* Collaborate with teams to define data rules and flows, creating an auditable tool.
* Perform threat analysis and manage security vulnerabilities.
* Implement security best practices and standards (OWASP, NIST, ISO-27001, etc.).
* Automate security controls for continuous compliance.
* Maintain data integrity with MySQL queries.
* Create dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
* Develop tools to identify security weaknesses.
* Stay updated on latest security trends and improve platform architecture.
* Document architecture and decisions clearly.
* Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance.
