Job Title: Behaviour Support Classroom Assistant
Location: Secondary School – Bradford
Contract Type: Supply (Post Half-Term Start – Until End of Term)
Start Date: Monday 3rd November 2025

We’re seeking a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Bradford on a supply basis. This rewarding role starts after the October half-term and runs until the end of the term, offering a fantastic opportunity to support students in overcoming barriers to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs.
2. Assist the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
3. Implement behaviour support strategies tailored to individual student needs.
4. Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and progress.
5. Support students in regulating emotions and developing positive coping strategies.
6. Liaise with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and external agencies where appropriate.
Ideal Candidate:
7. Experience working with young people in an educational or care setting.
8. Calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour management.
9. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to remain positive and proactive in challenging situations.
11. A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
12. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
