Monarch Foods International is a fast-growing frozen meat and poultry trading company. We specialise in export sales of pork, poultry and beef to global markets including China, Vietnam, the Philippines and West Africa. With privileged sourcing channels across Europe and the Americas, we are now expanding into South Korea and seek a proven Meat Trader / Export Sales Manager to join our team.
The Role
We are seeking a Meat Trader / Sales Manager (South Korea focus) with proven experience in the frozen pork and poultry export trade.
The ideal candidate will already be trading into South Korea and can bring customer relationships and profitable business from day one.
We will also consider fluent Korean speakers with at least 2 years of international B2B export sales experience (any sector) who are motivated to build the Korean meat and poultry market from scratch with the support and leads we provide.
This role can be based in our UK export office in Amersham (40 minutes from London) or remote from Europe or Asia.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and grow export sales of frozen pork and poultry into South Korea
* Manage and expand relationships with Korean buyers, distributors and importers
* Negotiate contracts, prices, specifications and Incoterms (CIF, CFR, FOB)
* Work with logistics and operations to ensure smooth delivery of shipments into Busan and Incheon
* Identify new opportunities in other Asian markets (e.g. Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan)
* Manage P&L accountability for your trading desk
What We Expect
* Minimum 2 years' experience selling frozen pork and/or poultry into South Korea (preferred)
* OR fluent Korean speaker with at least 2 years' international B2B export sales experience
* Strong knowledge of meat products (pork & poultry cuts and offal)
* Demonstrated ability to generate profitable sales and hit targets
* Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills
* Proactive self-starter, well organised, and profit-focused
* Team player with high integrity and persistence
