Primary Schools | Full-time and Part-time Opportunities | £90 per day
New Directions Education are recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work within primary schools across the Merthyr Tydfil area.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development, and who can contribute to creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment. Whether you have previous experience within education or transferable skills from working with children in other settings, we would love to hear from you.
Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting pupils across the Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2.
2. Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management.
3. Providing one-to-one and small group support where needed.
4. Encouraging and motivating pupils to engage in their learning.
What you’ll need to succeed:
5. Experience working with children or young people.
6. A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach.
7. Good communication and teamwork skills.
8. An Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through New Directions).
What you’ll receive:
9. £90 per day (paid weekly).
