Description
We are currently looking for
Production Technicians
to join our Production team on a full time basis.
The Southbank Centre Production team looks after all the technical production needs for all the events that are on our site.
Under the overall direction of the Director of Technical Production with direct line management under Production Managers or Technical Supervisors, playing a significant role in the Production team in implementing the technical requirements of promoters, artists and other key stakeholders to ensure a safe, smooth and professional presentation of the technical requirements of each event wherever Southbank Centre activities are taking place.

Key Responsibilities
* To work effectively with a diverse range of visiting companies, designers and artists as well as colleagues in other departments across the organisation
* To take and maintain a flexible approach to the department's work and to take part in working groups as required for the fulfilment of the department or organisation aims
* To undertake the preparation and operation of equipment and to ensure that equipment and facilities used and provided are fit for purpose
* To carry out basic maintenance of Production equipment
* To ensure a safe and tidy environment in all working areas within the department
Skills & Experience
* Has a technical bias in lighting, sound, AV, or stage with working knowledge of desks such as GrandMA3 or Yamaha QL1, 4k video equipment, or stage automation
* Able to demonstrate general all round knowledge of the operation and safe handling of production equipment from other disciplines covered by the Production Department, including stage, lighting, sound and AV, with either a relevant qualification or proven track record
* Experience in operating sound / lighting / AV but not limited to in Contemporary Music, Performance and Dance and Spoken Word
* Experience in working with orchestras in a stage setting
* Working with and interpreting technical plans, making sure that they are followed accurately
