Reporting to the Maintenance Officer, the maintenance team ensures that we have a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well.

What you'll be doing
* Ensure the home and grounds are kept in a good state of repair and residents have access to all appropriate areas
* Compliance with Health and Safety legislation throughout the home, including reporting of H&S incidents
* Carry out day-to-day repairs and some refurbishment activities to maintain standards in the care home
* Actively engage with staff, relatives, and families as part of the care home team and regularly engage with residents
* Ensure regular safety checks and servicing on all equipment, with accurate records kept
* Maintain excellent communication with the Home Manager and residents

* Proven experience in maintenance and repair work
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
* Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Health and Safety awareness demonstrated through discussion

* A “Can-Do” flexible team worker, problem solver, passionate about your work, able to manage diverse and demanding workloads, think creatively, and open to doing things differently
