Registered Manager Job Description
Are you a compassionate leader with a strong background in supporting adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs? We’re looking for a Registered Manager who can lead high quality, person-centred services and make a real impact across Cheshire and Staffordshire.
Key Responsibilities of a Registered Manager
1. Direct the day-to-day running of two services to ensure high quality, safe care and support in accordance with CQC standards;
2. Lead, develop, and support staff teams to provide exceptional care;
3. Maintain person-centred care plans and risk assessments;
4. Ensure robust safeguarding and quality assurance processes are in place;
5. Manage rotas, budgets, and resources efficiently;
6. Build strong relationships with families, commissioners, and professionals.
Registered Manager Requirements
* Management experience within Health and Social Care;
* Hold a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care or be willing to work towards this;
* Knowledge of current CQC care standards to ensure services are Safe, Caring, Effective, Responsive, and Well-led;
* Computer literacy, with good written and verbal communication skills;
* Experience in note-taking to provide meaningful records of meetings with staff, residents, families, and outside agencies;
* Caring, patient, approachable, with sensitivity and urgency when needed;
* Awareness of confidentiality importance;
* Experience managing training and HR issues, familiar with safe recruitment processes;
* Flexible, able to prioritize workload under pressure in a busy setting.
