Essential Qualifications
* Maths and English GCSE Grade 4/C or equivalent (Level 2)
* Degree/relevant qualification in the subject area (Games Design)

General Student Services Responsibilities
* Responding effectively to incoming enquiries via telephone and email (parents, carers, local authorities, students etc.)
* Student welfare and Information advice and guidance as required
* Working within the student services hub as per timetable
* Pastoral support
* Assisting with invigilation duties during exams periods
* Support Student Services Manager with student induction packs, medical forms and updating Arbor appropriately for the new academic year
* Support Student Services Manager to provide student and parent/carer updates
* Managing Breakfast club on allocated days
* Support with college-wide events such as National Careers Week, Mental Health Week and End of Year Showcases
* Ad Hoc Admin as required
Job Specific Responsibilities
* Attendance phone calls and emails for your cohort every morning and afternoon
* Tracking of engagement with student services/issue /outcome
* Tracking of attendance and disciplinary to support learners in overcoming their barriers to learning
* Attendance once a month at curriculum team meetings
* Cover vocational sessions within area of specialism. In the event of this you will be provided with the lesson plan and related resources and will receive overtime (as agreed with your line manager prior to request for overtime) to enable you to complete usual duties.
* To provide specialist vocational support to students and tutors in your curriculum area as required.
* To provide support during college events in line with vocational specialism.
* Support Student Services Manager and/or Curriculum Manager with pastoral meetings and interventions where required.
Salary and Days of Work
* 35 hours across 5 days a week for 38 weeks per year
* Term-time only
* Start Date 31 Aug 2026
* Pro rata of annual salary FTE £27,300 (actual salary £22,491)
