About the Role
:
You’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks including paving, fencing, drainage, concreting, and general groundwork repairs. Working in and around occupied homes, you’ll need to be professional, respectful, and committed to delivering high-quality work that meets both safety and service standards.

Duties:
1. Carry out external repairs and maintenance across social housing properties
2. Install and repair paving, slabs, and pathways
3. Erect and maintain fencing, gates, and boundary structures
4. Undertake drainage works including gulley clearing, pipe repairs, and soakaway installations
5. Mix and lay concrete for footings, bases, and hard standings
6. Carry out minor brickwork and reinstatement works as required
7. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and site standards
8. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
9. Work respectfully in and around occupied homes, maintaining a clean and safe environment
10. Record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
11. Identify and report any additional works, safeguarding concerns, or property issues
12. Participate in the out-of-hours emergency rota when required
13. Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
14. Provided high levels of customer care at all times
Role Criteria:
15. Proven experience in domestic repairs and maintenance in a ground worker position
16. Full UK driving licence
17. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
18. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
19. Excellent customer service skills, with experience working in occupied homes
20. Good understanding of health and safety regulations and safe working practices
21. Ability to use handheld devices or job management systems to record work
22. Willingness to participate in out-of-hours emergency rota
