An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible professional to join our finance team as a Financial Accountant on a fixed term, full time basis for a period of 12-18 months.
We are looking for an individual with substantial experience of working in an accountancy role and managing staff who is a committed team player and can contribute to the performance of our wider team performance.

Main duties of the job
As part of the essential requirements to this job you will have:
* Full understanding of the principles of accounting and accounting standards
* Specialist knowledge or, and ability to advise both financial and non-financial colleagues the impact of changes to reporting standards
* Substantial experience of working in an accountancy role to include experience of staff management
* Good organisational skills and a logical approach to problem solving
* Ability to communicate with and relate to a wide range of people throughout the organisation
* Excellent presentation skills both verbal and written

Skills & Abilities
* Ability to negotiate contracts/influence decisions that have a financial impact
* Project management skills to deliver system, process and procedural improvements
Knowledge
* Full understanding of the principles of accounting
* Specialist knowledge of, and ability to apply and advise others of professional accounting standards
* Detailed knowledge of computerised accounting systems and advanced knowledge of Excel or similar
* Knowledge of and ability to apply and advise others of Trust/NHS financial and other regulations and procedures
Qualifications
* CCAB/CIMA Qualified (or equivalent)
* Educated to degree level
* Prince2 Training
Experience
* Substantial experience of working in an accountancy role to include experience in staff management.
* Experience of line and performance management of staff
* Experience of working in a healthcare setting
