About the Role
Location: Manchester (Hybrid: 3 days office-based, 2 days remote)
My client, a respected top 200 leading UK and forward-thinking legal practice based in the heart of Manchester City Centre, is currently seeking a passionate and commercially aware Employment Solicitor to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a solicitor with 3+ years post-qualification experience (PQE) looking to take the next step in their legal career within a supportive, dynamic, and client-focused environment.
You’ll work closely with experienced Chambers recommended lawyers and have exposure to a varied and engaging caseload, including both contentious and non-contentious matters, while benefiting from flexible hybrid working arrangements.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Managing your own caseload of employment law matters from instruction to resolution
* Advising clients (both employers and employees) on disciplinary issues, grievances, redundancy, contracts, settlement agreements, and more
* Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, staff handbooks, and policies
* Representing clients in Employment Tribunal proceedings where necessary
* Delivering commercially practical legal advice tailored to client needs
* Staying current with employment legislation and developments
What We’re Looking For
* Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3+ years PQE in employment law
* Strong communication and client care skills
* Confident working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
* Detail-oriented, organised, and commercially astute
* Enthusiastic about delivering high-quality legal advice in a professional yet personable manner
