Role Title: Current Accounts Business Analyst
Duration: contract to run until 31/12/2026
Location: Knutsford or Northampton, hybrid 2/3 days per week onsite
Rate: up to £322 p/d Umbrella inside IR35
Role purpose / summary
The Business Analyst will work within the Current Accounts Change Team, part of the LOC Needs Lab in Retail Banking CAPL Technology, supporting change initiatives across current account propositions and related journeys.
The BA will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and delivered in line with Agile principles and the client's Better Ways of Working (BB WoW).
Key Skills/ requirements
Requirements Gathering & Analysis at EPIC through to Story level
1. Working with Product owners and related stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements (clear, actionable user stories with acceptance criteria).
2. Creating the required context artefacts (As-is/To-Be, process flows, wireframes, etc) to support the analysis/requirements and inform downstream delivery
Agile Delivery
3. Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
4. Support Product Owners in prioritizing backlog items aligned to business value.
Process & Solution Design
5. Collaborate with Solution Architects and Engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility.
Change Management & Governance
6. Align with RB CAPL governance and demand processes, including JIRA ticketing for Epics and Capabilities and/or Features and Stories
Typical Skills
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
8. Able to work at all levels of detail (EPIC/high level to Feature/Story/detailed level)
9. Proficiency in Agile frameworks (Scrum) and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
10. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
11. Ability to create user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation.
12. Familiarity with Better Backlogs and BB Ways of Working principles.
13. Understanding of current account products, overdrafts, and related customer journeys.
