The Role
CBRE is the world's largest commercial real estate services and investment firm, with over 500 offices in more than 100 countries. CBRE Hotels delivers creative, hands‑on hospitality expertise in all major markets. The Analyst/ Senior Analyst will work within the Hotels Capital Markets team (Investment Sales / Brokerage) to provide in‑depth market insight, support complex hotel transactions, and develop capital markets solutions for investors.
Key Responsibilities
* Draft teaser brochures and populate data rooms, respond to enquiries, arrange viewings, negotiate and conclude transactions.
* Assist in the preparation of pitch and sales mandate documentation, incorporating findings and commentary.
* Conduct property‑level assessment: analyse operating performance, profit and loss statements, prepare trading projections, review historic and planned CAPEX, and evaluate alternative branding and operating structures.
* Present financial figures at formal pitches and to prospective buyers on live mandates, handling queries and challenging figures with well‑supported arguments.
* Build and nurture strategic relationships with hotel investors, property operators, and industry peers to drive deal flow and market intelligence.
* Maintain statistical and brand information (e.g., STR, HotStats), analysing it for inclusion in pitches and sales mandates.
* Compiling research documents for publication and circulation internally, to clients and the broader market.
* Support client development databases and collate lists of potential buyers for investment opportunities.
Person Specification / Requirements
* Prior experience in hotel real estate (1–4 years) desirable.
* University degree in Real Estate, Hospitality or related field desirable.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel, with strong focus on building financial models to evaluate asset performance and investment returns.
* Strong understanding of hotel P&L accounts.
* Proficiency in business writing and ability to produce clear analytical reports in professional English.
* Keen interest in hotel operations and the real estate industry.
* Ability to multitask and work under pressure within a rapidly changing environment.
* Strong research, organisational and time‑management skills.
* Team player with a strong work ethic.
