Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Workshop HGV Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a fleet of over 30 vehicles in a professional and dynamic environment. Responsibilities
* Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a fleet of over 30 HGV vehicles.
* Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
* Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and compliance standards.
* Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including parts used and time spent.
* Collaborate with the team to ensure the fleet operates at optimal performance levels.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
* NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification is essential.
* Proven experience working with HGVs in a workshop environment.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.
Day-to-Day
* Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs on HGVs to minimize downtime.
* Perform diagnostics using specialized tools and equipment.
* Communicate effectively with the team to prioritize and complete tasks.
* Ensure all vehicles are compliant with legal and safety standards before returning to service.
* Participate in overtime opportunities as required, with overtime paid at 1.5x the standard rate.
