We help many young learners who are vulnerable or have complex needs travel to school, helping them to access the same opportunities and improve their life chances as others. This is a really rewarding role and you absolutely don’t need to be experienced working in the same field however, having an understanding of adults and children who have a special educational need or disability or logistical planning and service delivery would be advantageous. You will have a responsibility for working as part of our team you will liaise with multiple stakeholders including parents and carers, schools, day care centres, external contractors and colleagues to deliver travel assistance to our passengers. What you will be doing: Making sure our passengers get to where they need to be by managing the team to deliver safe and reliable daily transport provision or independent travel. Be part of a team providing development and training opportunities to our staff. Collaborate with customers, contractors, parents and carers, schools and day care centre staff to manage new referrals and any changes to transport arrangements in line with any policy or other statutory guidance. Making sure our passengers are safe by carrying out risk assessments and other health and safety compliance measures are adhered to. Support with the budget management across the service, monitoring of internally delivered and contracted transport as well as payments to parents or carers.
