Wipro are looking for a Payments Product owner to work in Chester on a Fixed term contract basis, the product Owner will have a strong background in systems architectural design with scalable, high performance and end to end solutions. We are looking for someone familiar with design concepts such as microservices, containerization, API integration. Someone with hands‑on experiences with AI technology such as copilot a plus
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with senior business managers, Enterprise architecture, stakeholders, and Global functional heads to ensure we establish, implement, and adopt constantly evolving product development standards and processes.
* Responsibilities include significant inputs into definition of payments product roadmap within Enterprise Payments and subsequently manage product backlog.
* Manage the expectations and demands of a multifaceted business, and multiple stakeholders, whilst delivering improved product, BA, and design services across various Enterprise Payment functions/applications.
* Accountable for product backlog management e.g. prioritizing tech debt, regulatory, business enablement, and supporting audits.
* This leadership role will require close collaboration with functional leads and with business leads across the payments lifecycle from inception to clearing.
* Documents HLD (high level design) and functional requirements using SAFe Agile requirement hierarchies (deliverable, epic, story).
* Ensures that execution delivery is aligned with product strategy.
* Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers.
Required Experience & Skills
* Strong background in systems Architectural design in scalable, high performance and E2E solutions.
* Familiar with design concepts such as microservices, containerization, API integration
* Experiences in end-to-end payment flows such as Real Time Payments, ACH, RTGS.
* Thorough E2E business flows knowledge and implementation experience of Swift Mandates, ISO 20022 Migration, Central bank mandates across major global clearings like TCH, Fedwire, Fednow, SEPA, CBPR+, HVPS+, CHAPS, other industry related regulatory changes.
* Experience leading large scale program and project efforts.
* Experience in delivering solutions using API, Kafka, Mainframe, and Database.
* Knowledge of Operations processes supporting Enterprise Payment execution
* Ability to plan and direct routines and reporting to drive accountability, transparency, and collaboration.
* Ability to drive and promote strategy
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills and enjoys a collaborative environment.
* Flexible, self‑starter, fast‑learner – willing and able to quickly learn new products, technologies, and skills.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Financial services experience with exposure to regulatory requirements within the Payments space
* Extensive overall experience required in organization/program/ product management.
