GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated Sports Coach to join a school in Sheffield (S11). This role is an exciting opportunity to support physical education, deliver engaging sports sessions, and encourage pupils to lead active and healthy lifestyles. Role Overview: As a Sports Coach, you will support PE staff in delivering lessons, run extracurricular sports activities, and encourage student participation, helping to develop teamwork, fitness, and personal growth. As a Sports Coach, you will: Deliver sports coaching sessions in line with the school’s PE curriculum. Support PE lessons and encourage active participation. Promote health, fitness, and wellbeing among pupils. Inspire teamwork, fair play, and resilience through sport. Assist with organising and supervising sports clubs, competitions, and events. Uphold high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare. Requirements for Sports Coach: Experience coaching children or young people in a school or sports setting. Coaching qualifications or relevant experience in multiple sports. Strong communication, motivational, and organisational skills. A passion for promoting active lifestyles and sports participation. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
