Evening Cleaning Operative – Health Club
Location: Brands Hatch Road, Longfield, DA3 8PD
This is a part-time, evening cleaning role at a health club, involving deep cleaning of spa, poolside, and changing-room areas. The role operates on a rotating shift pattern (2–3 evenings per week), includes some weekend work, and requires own transport due to the site's remote location. Work is team-based, physically active, and takes place in warm, humid environments.
Pay Rates
* Wednesday–Friday (evenings): £15.27 per hour
* Saturday: £15.77 per hour
* Sunday: £16.27 per hour
Working Pattern
This role operates on a rotational shift pattern.
* Staff work 2–3 evenings per week (average 2.5 shifts)
* Availability required Wednesday to Sunday evenings
* Includes some weekend work, but not every weekend
* 3 hours per shift

Typical shift times:
* Wednesday & Thursday: 9:00 pm – 12:00 midnight
* Friday: 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm
* Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
This is a late evening role, starting shortly before the club closes.
Transport Requirement
This site is in a remote location.
* Own transport is essential (car preferred; motorbike acceptable)
* Not accessible on foot or by bicycle
* Not suitable for drop-off or pick-up arrangements

HOW THE WORK IS ORGANISED
The site operates on a structured task rotation, reflecting modern cleaning practices.
Not all tasks are carried out every day. This approach allows the site to maintain high standards while operating efficiently.
If the operative completes their scheduled tasks early during a shift, they are expected to move on to other duties to ensure standards are maintained across the whole area or site that CCS Kent is responsible for.
This role is not "job and knock" — staff are expected to work productively for the full shift.
This is a team-based role, with staff working in pairs each shift as part of a four-person rotating team.
Nature of the Work
This role is primarily focused on deep cleaning within a health club environment. Duties include intensive cleaning of:
* Showers and changing rooms
* Poolside areas
* Spa and wellness facilities
Applicants should be aware that this environment can be hot and humid, particularly within spa and poolside areas, and the role is physically active.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Carry out cleaning duties in line with the site's daily and weekly task schedule
* Maintain high standards across all areas or sections of the site that CCS Kent is responsible for
* Complete rotational tasks as assigned on specific days
* Use time effectively and carry out additional duties if scheduled work is completed early
* Use cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly
* Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly
* Follow all health and safety requirements on site
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
* Previous commercial cleaning experience is required
* Experience in health club, leisure, or spa environments is an advantage
* Experience using commercial cleaning machinery is desirable, including:
* Pressure washers
* Rotary scrubbing machines
* Wet vacuum cleaners
* Confidence working with commercial cleaning chemicals and following COSHH guidance
* Health & safety training and a site induction will be provided
* Good attention to detail
* Ability to work as part of a team and manage time effectively
* A reliable, consistent, and professional approach to work
