Key Details
* Role: Quality Technical Assistant
* Status: Permanent
* Location: Hinkley Point C; minimum on-site presence required
* On-site requirement: Minimum of 3 days on site at Hinkley Point C, once a fortnight in Bristol, and other Project Offices monthly (arrangements can change, so flexibility is needed)
* Salary: Your requested rate will be considered
Responsibilities
* Interface activities: day-to-day interface management with other processes; resolving minor queries raised by internal JDO teams; support the wider JDO Quality team with management of external queries when required.
* Support the JDO Quality Engineer in development and roll out of arrangements; support the JDO Quality Manager in any interface-related investigations.
* Assist in Assurance-related activities (JDO Quality Manager) and Quality Control-related activities (JDO Quality Engineer).
* Support the wider JDO in understanding external standards (ISO 9001) and project requirements (GQAS).
* Development and monitoring of continual improvement activities within the JDO; investigations, observation/incident management.
* Organise and support quality-related meetings/workshops and produce minutes; support the JDO Quality Manager in delivering team objectives.
* Participation in travel to EDF sites as required.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience
* Essential – Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015; understanding of how Quality/Integrated Management Systems operate; fluent in English (written and spoken) at business level; strong IT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Desirable – ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification; knowledge of General Quality Assurance Specifications (GQAS) and Quality Related Activities (QRA); knowledge of Nuclear Site Licence Condition requirements; experience in a related engineering/construction/regulated delivery environment; knowledge of PLMs.
* Qualifications & Experience
* Essential – Relevant degree qualification or demonstrable relevant experience; experience working in a nuclear, engineering or design office environment; experience with development and implementation of Quality/Integrated Management Systems; experience in supporting Quality Assurance, ensuring adequate Quality Control, and implementing/monitoring quality KPIs; experience in complex multi-organisational stakeholder management.
* Desirable – Qualified internal auditor with experience in quality audits; experience in training others in Quality Management; experience in Root Cause Analysis and trend analysis.
