About the role: as a Technical Lead, you will own the overall technical solution and guide the technical delivery of projects to reduce risk and improve outcomes. You will act as the primary technical point of contact for the customer and other stakeholders, and be responsible for solution architecture and delivery roadmaps, while supporting customer decision making.
Responsibilities
* Own the technical solution across projects ranging from a few weeks to 5+ years.
* Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers, partners, suppliers and management.
* Develop solution architecture and delivery roadmaps; support customer decision making.
* Engage with other technical leads across the company; allocate time to projects and wider engagement.
* Contribute to Agile project workflows and drive continuous improvement.
* Provide input for longer-term technical roadmaps and challenge design choices within the team.
* Lead reviews of others’ designs and mentor team members.
What You’ll Work On
* Designing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining software solutions.
* Full stack development with React, AWS, databases (e.g., MongoDB, ElasticSearch) and languages such as Java, TypeScript, or Python.
* Integrating AI into data processing and user workflows.
* Collaborating with Platform Engineers on infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes) and building automated delivery pipelines (GitLab).
Accountabilities
* Understand the project’s technical aspects and the customer business model.
* Ensure security, availability, observability, scalability, performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
* Maintain project standards for quality, documentation, techniques and tools.
* Identify, escalate and manage technical risk with the Team Manager or Delivery Lead.
* Support backlog prioritisation with Delivery Lead and Product Owner.
* Act as a role model and mentor; contribute to agile ceremonies and continuous improvement.
* Contribute to longer-term technical roadmaps and challenge detailed design choices.
Team Collaboration
* Work closely with development teams to design and implement software solutions.
* Coordinate with Platform Engineers on infrastructure; help maintain and improve systems.
* Support automated delivery pipelines and cross-team collaboration.
Pay and Benefits
* Competitive salary based on base location; seniority assessed during interview.
* Full-time (37.5 hours) with flexible scheduling; part-time considered.
* Core hours 10:00–15:00; in-office days for collaboration; occasional travel to UK customer sites or Naimuri office in Greater Manchester.
