We are seeking a highly skilled
Solaris/AIX Infrastructure Engineer
to join our
24/7 support team
, providing advanced technical expertise and ensuring mission-critical systems remain secure, reliable, and high-performing. This is a
shift-based role
covering nights, weekends, and public holidays on a rotational basis.
About Role and Team:
As part of the team, you'll be at the forefront of troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, driving system improvements, and supporting both internal colleagues and external customers. You will play a key role in ensuring our service-level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) are consistently met, especially during out-of-hours emergency support.
What you'll do:
* Serve as a primary technical point of contact during
24/7 emergency support
incidents.
* Support and participate in
disaster recovery (DR) testing
across multiple virtual platforms.
* Identify and remediate
security vulnerabilities
in collaboration with compliance teams.
* Perform
planned change work
during off-hours maintenance windows.
* Assist with the setup, configuration, and support of
Linux and Windows servers
when required.
* Contribute to the
innovation and enhancement
of infrastructure services and solutions.
* Build and maintain technical expertise across a broad range of infrastructure technologies.
* Maintain accurate technical documentation, including
incident logs and configuration records

What we're looking for:
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
* Hands-on experience supporting
enterprise infrastructure environments
.
* Strong expertise in
Unix-based systems
(Solaris/AIX), with proficiency in system diagnostics, server administration tools, and
shell scripting
.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
* A proactive approach to
continuous learning
and staying up to date with industry best practices.
Desirable Skills
* Advanced degree in IT or related discipline.
* In-depth knowledge of
Oracle Solaris, IBM AIX, or related Unix platforms
.
* Familiarity with
security standards, compliance, and vulnerability remediation
.
* Previous experience in a
shift-based or out-of-hours support environment
